I often try to scrap the things my kids say, especially when pictures accompany, but I have to write them down when they’re fresh or I will forget by the time I get to scrap!
So yesterday I took the bigs to the library (we hadn’t been in, like, a year) and it’s a different library than we used to go to since we moved. When we pulled up and parked in front of the field of pine trees R2 said, “Is this the liberry?” And I said, “Yes.” And she said, “It’s beauuuuuutiful!!”
So R1 jumps out and runs into the field while I’m unloading R2 and he finds a dead butterfly and brings it over to show us. R2 is in love. Yes, you guessed it, “It’s beauuuuuuuutiful!!! Can we keep it?” I figure why not, right? So we leave it in the van and go in. And she picks out a Kids Discover magazine that’s all about butterflies and as she’s looking at it on the way home she’s gushing at how beauuuuuuutiful they all are.
We got home and took some pictures of it and then put it in a jar.
