Going Backwards – Veggie Tales

Instead of putting it all in one post I’m just catching up as I can and then hopefully I can get back in my routine of daily posts.

On Thursday of last week R3 woke up telling me her belly hurt. This went on all day. I thought she was constipated, hungry, who knows, she’s 2! No fever or other complaints so I didn’t think anything of it. I gave her a bath around 5 and at 5:30 she puked all over me on the front porch. She threw up about an hour later, nursed, threw up 30 minutes later, nursed and went to bed and slept for about 15 hours. She woke up FINE.

All day Friday everyone was fine. Seemed to be a 12-hour thing. Saturday morning at 4am I was woken up with it. About 3 hours later it R2. We laid in bed together all day while Mr. Fox hung with the other two.

We had purchased tickets to Veggie Tales live about 2 months ago, and of course the show was that night at 7pm. (looking back I now see why God had me choose that show over the 2pm one). I tried to sell the tickets and at one point was ready to give them away because I didn’t want them to be wasted. I felt ok but just weak and a little nauseous. I decided to suck it up and go because I really wanted the kids to go and R1 was disappointed.

So we went and I was miserable but the kids had so much fun that it was worth it. :)

Slow and Steady

I’m working really hard to establish new habits and routines in our family, in myself. I’m slowly getting this house (finally!) organized and sorted it out and it’s starting to look like people actually live here.

We’ve eased back into school and all the kids are enjoying it. In fact, I’m having a hard time keeping the girls busy enough for me to work with R1!

I have managed to keep my room picked up for almost 2 weeks now, which, if you know me well, is a miracle!! Mr. Fox is on board and we’re making small changes that will (hopefully) stick.

I got one of my kitchen counters clean today, did 2 loads of laundry, school, quiet time for the bigs/nap for R3, made dinner, washed a ton of dishes and laminated some stuff.

Tomorrow we have an appt (ooh, I need to post about that!) at 10:30 so I reminded R1 to get up and do his chores so we will have less to do when we get home.

And of course, I’ve been scrapping:

Birthday Tradition

When R1 was little I got involved with Once Upon A Family and fell in love with their products. One of my favorite things is The Birthday Book. I started when R1 was 2, I think, taking his picture wearing Mr. Fox’s suit jacket every year on his birthday.

Here is this year’s picture:

I wanted to start with the girls on their first birthdays but it just didn’t happen. So I started today, at 2 and 4.

Performers

Mr. Fox ran up to Publix to get dinner tonight and while he and R3 were gone R1 and R2 decided to make up dance routines to songs on R1′s mp3 player that he hooked to the speakers in my room.

They were so excited, I had to get stern to convince them they had to wait until after dinner to show us.

R1 asked Mr. Fox to hold the flashlight on him while he danced and he turned out the lights. They had so much fun and were so cute. They took turns and had even picked a song for R3 to dance to even though she had been gone. :) I love my kids.

Scrap-a-doodle All the Day

Scrappin’ My Bum Off

I spent a lot of time sitting with a puking baby – so I scrapped. :) I’ve almost caught up on scrapping my 365 pics til now.

Here’s a few pages, not nearly as many as I’ve made, but just some of the ones I like best.

R3 is much better today – looks gaunt and is tired but no more puking. :)

Underwater!

My Point and Shoot (i.e. the camera that didn’t cost a fortune) is waterproof. I finally got the nerve to try it out and LOVE the results!

And of course there is a layout to accompany!

Teamwork

I’m a Scrappin’ Fool

I go in waves with it. Sometimes I go months without doing a single page and then I crank 4 or 5 out every day for weeks. So, yeah, I’m on an upswing. :)

I Been Scrappin’

More to come!!
